Section 508 is an amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. This amendment requires all Federal agencies to ensure their digital content is accessible for people with disabilities.

In order to be considered Section 508 compliant, websites and the digital content contained wherein need to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 A/AA.
